Summer entertainment is so hard sometimes. Do I go to the movies? Well some are good. I saw Star Trek and it was very entertaining, but many of these movies come on Blu-Ray so quickly, I can just wait to rent them from Blockbuster.
Because there’s just so much to do in the summer, including concerts, Broadway shows and sporting events. I am hearing Paul McCartney is playing Citi Field and Dave Matthews is coming back around as well.
Or I can just take the wife to a Broadway show. With shows like Grease, Wicked, the Jersey Boys and Spamalot playing on the Great White Way, there are so many options to look at and so many choices to make. Personally I like Spamalot and got good seats at this website, but there are plenty of choices.
Including sporting events. During the summer, it’s all baseball in New York with the Mets and Yankees enjoying revivals as both teams have opened new parks.
The Mets have opened up Citi Field, a 41,000 seat edifice, which beings the fans closer to the action. Resembling Ebbets Field on the outside and playing like old Braves Field on the inside, the new building gives fans a modern facility with the quirks of an old stadium.
While up in the Bronx, the Yankees have been taking some heat about the price of their tickets, but besides the cost, new Yankee Stadium is definitely an upgrade over the old building. A swift wind goes out to right making this park play small than the old stadium, but with a power lineup, the Yankees seem to like that.
With choices like those, I have a lot of deciding to do.
