Dakota Fanning stars in this controversial drama about a girl who survives her tough life in 1950s Alabama by listening to Elvis Presley. Though HOUNDDOG was criticized at Sundance for its depiction of child rape, the film earned the support of RAINN (Rape And Incest National Network). This film is the second feature from director Deborah Kampmeier, who won praise for her debut, VIRGIN.
